Course Content

  • Day 1: Introduction to EMS, including benefits, terminology, ISO 14001:2015 clauses, organizational context, leadership, planning, support, operation, performance evaluation, and improvement.
  • Day 2: Review of Day 1, understanding audit-related terminology, types, processes, roles, responsibilities, and conducting stage 1 and stage 2 audits, including audit plan requirements and opening meetings.
  • Day 3: Effective communication during audits, collecting information, audit findings, meetings, questioning techniques, closing meetings, audit reports, follow-up activities, and the role of auditors.
  • Day 4: Deepening understanding of auditing context, risks, opportunities, competence, awareness, operations, performance evaluation, and improvement, with practical exercises on identifying and reporting non-conformities.
  • Day 5: Finalizing audit activities including conducting closing meetings, preparing audit reports, conducting audit follow-up, readiness for examination, and course closure with feedback.

Requirements

  • Having prior knowledge and understanding of the Environmental Management System (EMS) - ISO 14001:2015 will be an added advantage. A general understanding of ISO 14001:2015 is recommended.
